It’s been reported that Siddharoodha, who was said to be his cellmate, has stated that the actor appears to be losing weight dramatically and his complexion has grown notably pale.
The actor’s spouse, Vijayalakshmi, is similarly struggling to cope with public life and engaging in a legal struggle to free her husband from prison. In the most recent news, she made a trip to the Kollur temple where she conducted Nava Chandika Homa, performing a unique prayer to Goddess Mookambika.
Darshan’s wife takes Prasad to jail

On July 29th, I had the privilege of visiting the Agrahara Jail in Parappa, where I had the opportunity to extend holy prasad to Darshan. Accompanying me were Darshan’s brother, Dinkar Thoogudeepa, and his son, Vineesh Thoogudeepa. During our visit, I offered words of encouragement to the actor, urging him not to fret and prioritize his health.
It’s also said that Darshan’s brother conducted a ritual dedicated to the Goddess Chamundeshwari of Mysore on his behalf.
Darshan Thoogudeepa moves High Court once again for food, clothes, cutlery
In the latest development, Darshan is petitioning the High Court asking the prison officials to grant him the privilege of eating homemade meals, wearing personal clothing, and using his own utensils.
Previously, on July 25th, a court in Bengaluru declined an appeal submitted by a Kannada actor, seeking homemade meals, distinct attire, and linens in prison.
According to Darshan’s lawyer’s points, the meals provided for Darshan are inadequate to sustain his physical stature and muscular build. On the other hand, the Special Public Prosecutor argued that Darshan should not be granted special privileges solely because of his high profile status.

Overwhelmed and heartbroken, I can’t help but share the shock that swept through me when news broke about the arrest of my beloved Darshan Thoogudeepa, the Sandalwood actor I admire deeply, along with his partner Pavithra Gowda on June 11. The reason behind this unexpected turn of events? The tragic murder case of Renuka Swamy, a case that has left us all in disbelief.
According to recent accounts, it’s claimed that Darshan provoked the murder following offensive and disrespectful messages sent by the victim to Gowda. Moreover, Swamy had previously blamed her for Darshan’s marital issues, which didn’t sit well with both Darshan and Pavithra. Regrettably, the victim was later discovered deceased, having suffered extensive abuse.
