Tony Pankhurst Passes Away, The Dark Pictures Star Was 67

As a long-time fan of The Dark Pictures Anthology, I was deeply saddened to hear of Tony Pankhurst’s passing. His portrayal of The Curator in the game series created by Supermassive Games brought an eerie and captivating presence to each episode. Although Pip Torrens provided the motion capture and voice work, it was Pankhurst’s physical likeness that brought The Curator to life.

In each installment of the Dark Pictures series, the Curator guided players through the episodes, discussing the consequences of their decisions on the characters’ fates. He has made appearances in all four previous games: Man of Medan, Little Hope, House of Ashes, and The Devil in Me. Upcoming releases in this franchise will include a new set of sci-fi horror titles, starting with Directive 8020.
