In the fifth installment of “The Ossan Newbie Adventurer,” released on July 29, 2024, we witness Rick’s formidable companions, Orichalcum Fist, showcase their immense power as they relentlessly train our ossan protagonist.

At first, I was taken aback by this proposal, as I knew the potential dangers and challenges that lay ahead for us. However, after some consideration, I agreed, but only on the condition that Laurotte would equip himself with his most powerful gear before joining us.

What happened in The Ossan Newbie Adventurer episode 5

As I approach Wiegheil Castle, I can’t help but feel like I’ve stumbled upon a Demon Lord’s lair, such is its imposing grandeur. And then there’s the massive entrance where Rick greets me – it leaves me utterly speechless! As we saunter through this opulent gateway, I find myself reminiscing about the lack of monsters lurking around.

A new adventurer named Osan is molded into someone who can die for the mightiest team and eventually becomes unbeatable, as depicted in today’s fifth episode of our series, which aired on July 29th exclusively on TBS/ABEMA at 10:10 PM.)

Laurotte meets Mizett and partakes in Broughston’s harsh training

Rick remarks in a relaxed tone that monsters avoid this place. Upon arriving at the castle, Reanette gives Laurotte a friendly welcome. Unfortunately, Alicerette shows up and without much thought, uses a powerful level-six spell. Thankfully, Rick shields Laurotte from the ensuing blast and scolds Alicerette for employing magic within the castle walls.

Whilst taking a leisurely walk around the castle, Laurotte runs into Mizett, who’s tinkering with his latest invention – a weapon called the “Ultra Flamecannon-kun Number 6, Patricia, Revised.” After a friendly greeting, Mizett persuades Laurotte to test the weapon. However, upon pulling the trigger, the device goes off with a massive bang, leaving Laurotte bewildered.

Eventually, Laurotte finds Broughston engrossed in a book within his vast library. Broughston then shares that immersing himself in books and reading helps soothe him, but he’s been preoccupied with Rick’s training over the past while.

1. In response, Laurotte asks the orc for a tutorial, and he consents. Consequently, Laurotte’s demanding training begins, putting his life at risk as he tumbles down a steep incline while dragging heavy weights along with him.

1. Luckily, Reanette’s action proves crucial for his survival. Subsequently, Rick advises Laurotte to be wary of Broughston whenever he speaks of “mild exercise.”

Broughston gathers intel on the Six Jewels from Laurotte

In simpler terms, the episode has Laurotte encouraging Rick to consider a relationship with Reanette despite their age difference. He believes that if the emotions are right and the timing is just, then the gap in years shouldn’t be an issue. Consequently, Laurotte suggests that Rick assists Reanette with her daily tasks as a way to bring them closer together.

1. Over dinner, Laurotte, Broughston, and Mizett ponder over Rick’s innate talent. Broughston suggests that Rick’s skill becomes evident under specific circumstances beyond his control. Furthermore, it’s worth noting that Rick holds the S-rank status without any skills or weapons; once his ability, “Reckless Soul,” is activated, he will outshine the entire group.

1. At Central, Laurotte is inquired about the Six Gemstones by Broughston, as he holds this position. Broughston clarifies these gemstones are mystical stones, which serve as keys to unlock the Source Spiral, where Kaiser Alsapiet lies in slumber. Mizett supplements that these Six Gemstones become active every 200 years.

Laurotte assures that he will inform them should he discover any information related to secret missions, which are managed by the Confidential Department.

The Orichalcum Fist goes on a quest and finds one of the Six Jewels

As a gamer, I find myself leading my team, Orichalcum Fist, to a guild where we’ve been tasked with completing a quest. With Rei, a local adventurer, joining us, we set off on our journey. Eager and overconfident, Rei charges ahead, assuming the rest of us – Rick, Broughston, and myself – will follow suit.

The party effortlessly conquers the wyvern beasts, leaving Rei in awe. When a scarlet wyvern confronts Rei and Rick, the latter one hesitates, upholding Yamato’s values. Rick swiftly vanquishes the monster on his own. Their triumph rejuvenates Rei, who is gearing up for her E-rank test.

The Orichalcum Fist group unearths one of the six sacred gems, Crimson Blossom, from a wyverns’ den. Mizette then employs a level six Nature spell called Earth Mapping to discover the whereabouts of the remaining jewels. Their journey takes them to Heractopia, renowned for its grand amphitheater.

In episode 5 of “The Newbie Adventurer from Ossan, Trained to Death by the Strongest Party,” an unidentified girl from Heractopia participates in a battle.
