Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Episode 4 Recap & Spoilers

As a long-time Fairy Tail fan and avid gamer, I’ve been eagerly anticipating each new episode of 100 Years Quest. The latest installment, episode 4, did not disappoint! The tension between Jellal and Touka reached a boiling point, while the Diabolos continued to wreak havoc on Natsu’s party.

In episode 4 of “Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest,” which came out on July 28, 2024, two significant happenings took place. As Natsu and his group engaged in battle with Diabolos, Jellal encountered Touka, who was under suspicion as the White Mage.

In the opening scene, Jellal confronts Touka in Magnolia with the allegation that she is the White Mage and has infiltrated Fairy Tail. But Touka explains, defending herself, that she joined Fairy Tail because of her deep admiration for Natsu.

I’ve been an avid fan of Fairy Tail for years now, and I was thrilled when they announced the release of the fourth episode synopsis for the 100-year quest, titled “White Submerged.” The anticipation is building up as Geraldo, the legendary white mage, closes in on Tokyo, while Nat and the rest of our beloved characters struggle against Diabolos. I can’t wait to see how this unfolds! #FairyTail #FT100YQ

What happened in Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest episode 4?

Jellal continues to insist that Touka has stolen magical powers from the Water Dragon God and is trying to start an uprising to transform the world into a blank, white expanse. Laxus steps in during Jellal’s probe and shields Touka. He believes it is unfair to scrutinize a Fairy Tail comrade and warns Jellal.

The Diabolos torment Natsu’s party

1. The story unfolds as Natsu’s group finds themselves aboard the Diabolos ship, having been taken hostage by the Diabolos mages. To add to their troubles, Kiria leads Erza on a tether and refers to her as a pet, insisting that Erza obey his whims.

When Kiria accompanies Erza to Natsu and Wendy, they attempt to snap her out of it, but are unsuccessful. Erza pleads with Kiria to let her friends go free, which Kiria grants. Meanwhile, Karameel dispatches Lucy, Happy, and Carla on a boat in search of the missing team members.

Brandish makes an appearance

1. Whilst searching for them, they find Brandish on a ship. She’d reduced Gray in size as a means of saving him. Upon meeting Lucy again, she restores Gray to her. Brandish explains that her group, Spriggan 12, no longer exists due to Fairy Tail, but she harbors no ill feelings towards them.

I was taken aback when she admitted she was in Guiltina on a mission to find Aquarius’ key, just like me. But Lucy, ever the polite and composed woman, bid Brandish farewell with a small nod as she departed. Later that night, Erza managed to free herself from Kiria’s restraints while the Diabolos were fast asleep. With the chance to end Kiria’s life before her, Erza paused, reflecting on the code of honor of a true knight: never attack an enemy in their sleep.

Erza frees her friends, leading to a showdown

1. In summary, she tells her friends that she managed to escape Kiria’s hypnosis since spells targeting the eyes don’t affect her. Meanwhile, Natsu and Wendy attempt to fight the Diabolos but are unable due to their motion sickness. (Paraphrased from the original sentence)

Instead of: However, Brandish covertly sets up a boulder beneath the vessel. Once the ship comes to a halt, Natsu, Erza, and Wendy plan to assault Diabolos. Erza engages Kiria in combat and shares how she managed to break free from the sorcerer’s enchantment.

In the meantime, Madmole and Skullion lament their missed chance of eliminating the Fairy Tail members when they could have. Instead, Wendy employs a gust of wind to disperse Skullion’s ashes, allowing Natsu to unleash his fire attack more powerfully in response.

Touka reveals her identity to Jellal

1. Away from base, Gajeel observes Touka smiling, fueling his suspicions. Laxus instructs Touka to be open with everyone in the group. He also mentions that they will safeguard her, provided she doesn’t endanger Fairy Tail.

While Jellal is lounging by his window, Touka unexpectedly appears, unveiling herself as the White Mage. This revelation matches Jellal’s suspicions. Consequently, she menaces Jellal and shares her intention to annihilate Fairy Tail. Next, she endeavors to extract his magic, but instead, she collapses.

1. It’s unexpected that Touka finds it hard to talk when she pleads with Jellal to flee. Later, Gajeel, Lily, Juvia, and Levy show up and push Touka to the ground. When the group expresses their faith in Gajeel, Jellal comes to understand that Touka is actually hosting two distinct identities, with the White Mage being one of them.

On the ship once more, Erza goes up against Kiria in a fierce battle, managing to fend off Kiria’s enchanting gaze. However, Kiria manages to shatter Erza’s sword. Miraculously, the broken sword transforms into a powerful magical katana thanks to Wendy’s dragon slayer magic. At the same time, Natsu and Wendy engage in combat with Madmole and Skullion. The Fairy Tail team maintains the upper hand in this confrontation.
