Thunderbolts* ‘Fundamentally Changes’ the MCU, Says David Harbour

¡Oh, amigo! As a die-hard Marvel fan who has been following the Cinematic Universe since the very beginning, I must say that the announcement of Thunderbolts* has sent shockwaves through my comic book-loving heart! The idea of seeing antiheroes and supervillains from previous MCU features like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Black Widow coming together under one roof is just too exciting to handle.

According to David Harbour, who plays Red Guardian in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Thunderbolts has significantly altered the entire direction of the MCU.

Under the guidance of Jake Schreier and with a script penned by Lee Sung Jin, Thunderbolts brings together an eclectic team of characters from previous Marvel Cinemic Universe stories such as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Black Widow. Intriguingly, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has hinted that the asterisk in the film’s title will be clarified upon its release.

After completing the filming for Thunderbolts, the actor from Stranger Things hinted that the new movie would bring changes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe without specifying the details.

“Harbour shared with ComicBook that our characters will encounter something mysterious and unfamiliar, which significantly alters the storyline’s progression. Further details will be revealed soon.”
