Nayanthara shares cryptic post after receiving criticism for spreading misinformation on hibiscus tea: 'Never argue with stupid people’

As a dedicated follower of Nayanthara’s career and personal life, I have always admired her for her talent and dedication to her craft. However, I was taken aback by her recent Instagram post about hibiscus tea and its supposed health benefits. While I understand the appeal of sharing information that resonates with us, especially when it comes from someone we look up to, I believe it is crucial that such claims are backed by scientific evidence.

In an Instagram post that has since been removed, actor Nayanthara shared her belief that drinking hibiscus tea can help manage diabetes and other health issues. She added that the tea’s cooling properties are advantageous for soothing acne and skin inflammations. However, Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, a well-known doctor on X, expressed skepticism about Nayanthara’s claims regarding hibiscus tea’s health benefits. Shortly after deleting her initial post, Nayanthara posted a cryptic message on her official Instagram account.

Later on, she posted a cryptic message from Mark Twain, which stated, “Don’t argue with fools. They will only bring you down to their level and then triumph with their experience.”

She likewise posted about hibiscus on Instagram Stories, which was shared by her nutritionist Munmun. For those who require clarification, kindly check out that post.

Liver Doctor criticises Nayanthara

Dr. Philips responded to Nayanthara’s claim in a social media post that hibiscus tea can cure various diseases, which has since been removed.

As an obsessed fan of Dr. Philips, I’d put it this way: Dr. Philips called out Nayanthara’s claims about hibiscus tea being a miracle elixir with a stern warning. He penned down that based on current scientific knowledge, none of the supposed health benefits she highlighted have been proven true.

He also pointed out that Nayanthara’s claims about hibiscus tea aiding diabetes, high blood

The validity of pressure and other health issues remains unverified. He raised doubts about the reliability of Nayanthara’s nutritionist, Munmun Ganeriwal, who combines Ayurvedic practices with contemporary science, and labels herself as the sole expert in gut microbiome studies worldwide.
