Initially hesitant, Gustang eventually agrees to V’s proposal. Following the resolution of their conflict, Gustang encounters V once more in the tent, where V presents him with a keychain bearing a scale and a jukbi, asking him to serve as both judge and recorder for them.

The chapter next reveals that Traumerie’s situation took a turn for the worse, transitioning from merely pulling a lever to forcefully commanding his creatures.
