As a dedicated fan of Kagurabachi, I have eagerly anticipated each new chapter with bated breath, and the latest spoilers for chapter 43 have left me both saddened and in awe. The continuing battle between Chihiro and Kyora has taken yet another heart-wrenching turn, with Kyora ultimately succumbing to his own willpower and losing his life.
Before the publication of Kagurabachi chapter 43, leaks from the internet hinted that the battle against Kyora persists, leading to the sorcerer’s demise in the upcoming edition. In the last installment, Chihiro bravely went back into the storehouse with the intention of freeing the captives from Kyora’s vault.
Kagurabachi chapter 43 spoilers: Kyora’s willpower
In “Fulfill,” the forty-third chapter of Kagurabachi, Chihiro thought he had to touch every imprisoned soul to infuse them with his spirit energy, allowing Hakuri to extract them. Simultaneously, Shiba fretted over Hakuri and Chihiro’s health, as they had been engaged in a prolonged battle. Hakuri shared that the storehouse remained upright due to Kyora’s determination alone. He warned that if Shinuchi assumed control, the structure would collapse, with both Hakuri, Chihiro, and the prisoners inside at risk.
Although Kyora momentarily held power over the deadly flowers, they still claimed lives. The Kamunabi sorcerers chose to withdraw as Kyora’s mental state began to deteriorate. Simultaneously, Kyora was reminded of his late wife’s advice. She had urged him that he didn’t require the Rakuzaichi auction to end it.
I believe that if he had let go of the obsession with the auction and focused more on being human and acting as a better man, the Sazanami clan member could have led a more fulfilling life. However, it seemed that the allure and power of the auction were too great for him to resist. Yet, in moments of reflection, I am reminded of my own father who, despite his absence, left me with the responsibility to carry on our family traditions. His legacy has shaped my life in profound ways and given me a sense of purpose beyond material possessions. It’s a valuable lesson that resonates deeply within me, and I can only imagine how it might have impacted the Sazanami clan member as well.
Shiba came to understand that Kyora’s intense focus on the auction was hindering Shinichi’s progress. He found it hard to believe in the power of will alone. Out of nowhere, Kyora urged the remaining spectators to eliminate her adversaries for monetary gain. Surprisingly, the Kamunabi sorcerers opted to withdraw from the situation instead.
Hiyuki hurried over to shield Hakuri as he moved the captives. In that moment, Hakuri was reminded of the “ice woman” who had sacrificed herself before his eyes, vowing never again to experience such loss. Together, Hakuri and Chihiro managed to save every prisoner from the vault and escorted them out of the building.
Kagurabachi chapter 43 spoilers: Kyora loses the battle to Shinuchi
After Chihiro and Hakuri’s triumphant rescue, Sazanami’s thoughts returned to his wife’s advice. Yet, he felt remorseful for not trusting Hakuri as Chihiro had suggested earlier.
Kyora acknowledged Chihiro’s wisdom and regretted that he hadn’t trusted Hakuri from the start. If he had, the current situation would have been avoided, and he alone among the Sazanami clan members neglected our duty towards Hakuri.
As Chihiro returned to the auction house, he was dismayed to find Kyora in a pitiful condition. To his shock, Shinuchi’s flowers were blooming on Kyora’s body. The chapter concluded tragically with Kyora Sazanami taking a cruel death, yet holding onto his dignity and beliefs.
