Miranda Cosgrove will visit The Wrong Paris in new Netflix romantic comedy

As a devoted fan of Miranda Cosgrove, I couldn’t be more thrilled about her latest romantic comedy project, “The Wrong Paris,” exclusively on Netflix! Her previous Netflix debut in “Mother of the Bride” left such an indelible mark and reached international success, so it’s only fitting that she returns for another heartwarming and hilarious rom-com.

Miranda Cosgrove is set to star in another romantic comedy for Netflix, titled “The Wrong Paris,” following her debut in “Mother of the Bride.”

In the forthcoming romantic comedy, Cosgrove is cast as Dawn, who joins a reality program akin to “The Bachelor” in pursuit of an extraordinary art experience in Paris, France. However, she learns to her dismay that this particular show films not in France, but in Texas. Desperate to leave, Dawn attempts to be eliminated from the competition. Unexpectedly, she encounters a strong connection with the program’s alluring bachelor, Trey (Pierson Fodé).

Janeen Damian, who previously directed Lindsay Lohan’s first two Netflix films “Falling for Christmas” and “Irish Wish,” will helm “The Wrong Paris.” Notably, Cosgrove’s “Mother of the Bride,” which featured Brooke Shields and Benjamin Bratt, ranked among the top 10 most popular movies in 92 countries on Netflix, according to Deadline. Given this success, it is unsurprising that Netflix chose to collaborate with Cosgrove for another romantic comedy production.

I couldn’t help but notice how some people labeled Summer 2024 as “Brat Summer” or “Glen Powell’s Summer,” but let’s be fair, Miranda Cosgrove made a significant impact as well. After dropping the critically acclaimed “Mother of the Bride” in May, she gracefully returned to the big screen as Margo in “Despicable Me 4.” Released on July 3, this movie was a massive success and one of the top-grossing films of the year.

A 30-year-old ex-actor from Nickelodeon, Pierson Fodé, is known to many TV viewers as a frequent co-star. He has made appearances in various shows such as “Jessie,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Dynasty,” “Supergirl,” and “Based on a True Story.” Additionally, he featured in the 2022 Netflix film “The Man from Toronto,” alongside Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson, and Kaley Cuoco.

Surprisingly, Fodé made his TV debut on an iCarly episode from 2012 titled “iHalfoween.” This was documented as his first television credit. Intriguingly, it appears that Fodé’s character, Todd, was originally included in a deleted scene. Regardless, Fode probably collaborated with Cosgrove during the filming of this episode. Remarkably, The Wrong Paris reunites Fodé and Cosgrove as leading actors over a decade later!

Based on my extensive experience in the film industry and following the news closely, I believe with confidence that production on “The Wrong Paris” is likely to begin before the end of 2024. Furthermore, considering typical release schedules, it seems reasonable to anticipate that the movie will hit theaters or streaming platforms sometime within the first half of 2025. However, this is merely an educated guess based on industry trends and lacks concrete evidence from Netflix or Deadline’s reports.
