I remember watching the initial reveal back in 2023 and being immediately intrigued by this new game from Firewalk Studios and Sony.
As an avid gamer, I’m excited to share that Concord, the upcoming 5v5 shooter from Firewalk Studios and Sony, is poised to give the giants of online multiplayer games a run for their money. This revelation first came to light back in 2023, and after over a year of anticipation and several beta testing phases, we’re on the brink of immersing ourselves fully into this new gaming experience.

When does Concord release?
As a long-time fan of Concord series, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with fellow gaming enthusiasts! Concord, the upcoming addition to this beloved franchise, is set to drop on Tuesday, August 23, 2024, and I can hardly contain my excitement. This announcement was made official during Sony’s May State of Play event.
Concord editions
The regular version of Concord, which costs £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99, doesn’t come with the advantage of early access to the beta testing phase in July. However, pre-ordering does grant you entry to this phase. Yet, it won’t provide you with the additional 72 hours of early access before the game’s official release.
The Concord Deluxe Version carries a higher price tag of £49.99 / $59.99 / €59.99, yet it offers several extra perks. Besides the mentioned advantage of pre-order early access, this edition comes equipped with additional skin packs. Specifically, the Northstar Freegunner Pack comprises 16 character skins, and the Vale’s Monarch Pack boasts the Vale’s Monarch Frontliner Sniper Skin and the Dead Reckoner Weapon Skin Pack.
Concord trailers
In May 2023, the initial trailer for Concord was unveiled, yet it didn’t reveal much new information. We caught glimpses of a spaceship voyaging through the cosmos and peeks inside the vessel itself. However, as they labeled it a teaser, not much else was disclosed.
In May 2024 during Sony’s State of Play event, we were treated to a gameplay trailer that offered a detailed glimpse into the game. We were introduced to some of the Freegunners and their equipment, as well as catching our first peek at the game’s visually stunning maps.
In addition, we’ve been treated to a cinematic trailer unveiled in May, showcasing various Freegunners and offering glimpses into their unique character traits as well as their interrelationships. Sony hinted at their intentions to broaden the Concord universe’s rich lore, suggesting that this could be the first of numerous trailers for the game.
