Eve Korean Drama on Netflix: Character Names & Their Roles

As a dedicated K-drama enthusiast with years of experience under my belt, I’ve had the pleasure of indulging in a vast array of captivating stories and unforgettable characters. Amongst the recent additions to my watchlist is the riveting 2022 series, “Eve,” starring Seo Ye-Ji, Park Byung-Eun, Yoo Sun, and Lee Sang-Yeob.


A new 2022 South Korean series titled “Eve” featuring Seo Ye-Ji, Park Byung-Eun, Yoo Sun, and Lee Sang-Yeob as the main actors is now streaming on Netflix. The storyline centers around a woman determined to seek vengeance for her father’s untimely demise.

In a quest for vengeance that has been 13 years in the making, Lee Ra-El sets out to exact her revenge on LY Group CEO Kang Yoon-Kyum, who was instrumental in the destruction of her family. With a relentless determination to bring justice, she infiltrates their powerful circle, risking her own safety in the process. Her pursuit of vengeance leaves no mercy for those responsible, but also puts herself in harm’s way.

In the K-drama, Ye-Ji portrays the role of Ra-El/Sun-Bin. Her father met an untimely death due to a deceitful plot by the wealthy elite when she was just a child. As a result, her family experienced significant upheaval following this tragic event. For over a decade, Ye-Ji carefully crafted a revenge scheme, with her primary focus being on Chaebol Kang Yoon-Kyum, who is the CEO of LY Group and married to a beautiful woman. She concluded that the most effective way to ruin his life was to initiate a divorce proceedings against him. Therefore, Ra-El cleverly infiltrates his life and charms him, but this plan may put her own safety at risk.

Currently, South Korean actress Ye-Ji is a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. Her notable roles include It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Hwarang, Lawless Lawyer, Recalled, Quantum Physics, Stay With Me, and The Bros. However, since her appearance in Eve, she has not taken on any new projects for film or television.

In a captivating portrayal, Byung-Eun assumes the role of Kang Yoon-Kyum, the CEO of LY Group. This man boasts immense power but harbors corrupt tendencies. Despite having a lovely spouse, he finds himself drawn to Ra-El. Her influence on his choices leads to complications in his marriage. Notably, Byung-Eun has an impressive acting resume, featuring roles in “This Is My First Life,” “Kingdom,” “The Great Battle,” “The Bequeathed,” and “Moving.” Additionally, he has made guest appearances in “The Midnight Studio,” “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim,” “Destined With You,” and “Alchemy of Souls.” Beyond television, Byung-Eun’s talent extends to the big screen with films such as “Assassination,” “Decibel,” and “The Moon” under his belt.

Yoo Sun takes on the part of So-Ra in the story, married to Yoon-Gyeom. Her trust in her husband begins to waver, leading her to behave erratically. Once she suspects Ra-El of being Yoon-Gyeom’s lover, So-Ra inflicts misery upon her. Besides Eve, Yoo Sun has appeared in various dramas including Pale Moon, Queen of Masks, Move to Heaven, My Too Perfect Sons, and Criminal Minds. Her filmography also includes Good Morning, Sweet & Sour, Black House, The Chosen: Forbidden Cave, and Don’t Cry Mommy.

Sang-Yeob acts out the character Seo Eun-Pyung, privy to Ra-El’s past and her desire for vengeance. Despite having strong feelings for her, he encourages her participation in the plot. The versatile actor boasts an impressive resume in Korean dramas such as “Sh**ting Stars,” “Once Again,” “The Hymn of Death,” “While You Were Sleeping,” and “Signal.” Additionally, he has showcased his talent in various supporting roles within films.

In addition to the previously mentioned actors, the Korean drama features Jeon Gook-Hwan, Jung Hae-Kyun, So Hee-Jung, Son So-Mang, Kim Ye-Eun, Lee Ji-Ha, Lee Il-Hwa, Kim Shi-Woo, and Lee Ha-Yul. The series is helmed by director Park Bong-Sub, with screenwriting by Yoon Young-Mi.
