SK25: Sudha Kongara to helm Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming movie, likely after his next with Don director Cibi Chakravarthy

Sivakarthikeyan is preparing to work with Sudha Kongara on his 25th film after teaming up with Cibi Chakravarthy for “SK24.” According to recent reports from Lets Cinema, Sudha Kongara, the acclaimed director of “Soorarai Pottru,” will be directing Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming project.

At first, there were whispers that Kongara would collaborate with Sivakarthikeyan following the indefinite postponement of her project “Puranaanooru” featuring Suriya. Some assumed she might resume production with either Sivakarthikeyan or Dhanush as the lead actor, but no formal announcement has been made yet.

Sivakarthikeyan’s SK25 to be helmed by Sudha Kongara

Sudha Kongara, fresh off the release of “Sarfira” with Akshay Kumar, is teaming up with Sivakarthikeyan for their initial project together. Her previous film, a remake titled “Soorarai Pottru,” which originally featured Suriya, failed to generate notable box office revenue despite positive reception.

The director was supposed to work with Suriya once more on a project, but no new information has been released about it yet. The movie “Puranaanooru” was planned to highlight the anti-imposition of Hindi protests in Tamil Nadu. Nazriya Nazim, Dulquer Salmaan, and Vijay Varma were set to star in significant parts of this production.

Sivakarthikeyan’s Workfront

Sivakarthikeyan is ready to take on the lead acting role in the upcoming film “Amaran,” helmed by Rajkumar Periasamy. This production, also co-produced by Kamal Haasan, is inspired by the book “India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military” written by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. The film tells the story of Indian army major Mukund Varadarajan, who made the ultimate sacrifice for his country.
