In the summer of 2024, the first season debuted on July 4th. The story opens with Tamako Yashiro in search of a new part-time gig in town. She applies for a job at Ramen Akaneko, an intriguing shop owned and operated by cats. During her interview, a cat interviewer asks if she enjoys felines. Yet, Tamako confesses her preference is actually for dogs. Surprised but amused, the feline employer offers her the part-time position. Before long, she finds herself managing the quirky daily lives of her unusual coworkers – all cats.
In the voiceover for Red Cat Ramen, Kenjiro Tsuda portrays Bunzo, Kurumi Orihara voices Tamako Yoshira, Michiyo Murase is responsible for Sabu’s character, and Noriaki Sugiyama brings Sasaki to life. Other actors contribute as well.
