Is the One Piece Season 2 trailer real or fake?
One Piece Season 2 is a concept fan-made trailer and is fake.
A well-known YouTube channel, Darth Trailer, unveiled a concept trailer for One Piece Season 2 on July 18th. This trailer gained an impressive 50 million views in a short timeframe, sparking excitement among fans about its unique content. The video showcases snippets from the early stages of One Piece and includes synced voiceovers. However, the clever arrangement and sequencing of these clips offer intriguing insights into the Season 2 storyline and introduce recurring characters.
Netflix hasn’t unveiled an official trailer yet for the upcoming season, but they have given fans a sneak peek with a “production started” video. Last year, One Piece Season 1 made a big splash and received widespread praise and high viewership. According to The Wrap, the show amassed over 71 million views, making it Netflix’s most-watched series. Due to its success, Netflix announced the renewal of the show for another season, which began filming in June 2024.
In an interview with Tudum, showrunner Matt Owens shared that Dr. Kureha will significantly contribute to the upcoming season. During the Season 2 writers’ meeting, it was decided that this character would have a substantial impact on the storyline. The narrative is expected to delve deeper into Arabasta’s journey and foster character growth among the Straw Hat Pirates crew.
In the upcoming season, we’ll meet fresh faces such as Mr. 9, Mr. 5, Smoker, Miss Valentine, Dorry, and more. At the same time, fan favorites like Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Emily Rudd as Nami, and Taz Skylar as Sanji will return to the scene.
Netflix One Piece’s Season 2 is expected to come out by late 2025.
