Wuthering Waves fans desperately want this feature they would ‘pay $100’ for

As a dedicated fan of Wuthering Waves, I’ve been following the game closely since its release and have experienced both the excitement and frustration that comes with it. While I appreciate the beautiful graphics and engaging gameplay, I can’t help but feel disappointed by the blatant copying of features from Genshin Impact.

It seems that Wuthering Waves has taken excessive inspiration from Genshin Impact, replicating elements such as the scenic photo feature, gacha system, user interface, and even font, which may not have been necessary and ultimately detracts from the unique experience of the game.

As a gamer, if I’m Kuro and I want WuWa to stand out from Genshin more, I need to break free from copying ideas from HoYoverse and focus on enhancing aspects where Genskin receives criticism. Introducing an option for players to switch between male and female main characters would be a great beginning. Additionally, the rumors about significant changes in multiplayer are encouraging news for the game.

As someone who’s been deeply immersed in the WuWa community for quite some time now, I have to say that the game has brought a lot of joy and excitement into my life. The recent release of Changli’s banner, complete with a well-deserved buff, and the ongoing discovery of new things about Jinhsi have kept me hooked. However, I can’t help but notice a growing sentiment among fans regarding the game’s main character, often referred to as the Rover.

WuWa fans want Kuro to make this big change

In the WuWa community, the primary concern for numerous individuals right now revolves around the main character. Following Genshin Impact’s lead, Kuro Games has introduced an option where players can choose between a male or female protagonist at the game’s outset. However, once selected, this character choice is irreversible.

In a recent post on the gaming forum’s subreddit, user oceanxo expressed their desire for the ability to switch between female and male rover characters with the title, “Can we please have an option to change rover genders?” They shared their disappointment over starting with a female character due to popular memes but found the voice acting unsatisfactory. However, it’s not just about the voice actors for many players; they yearn for more freedom and choice in customizing their gaming experience. One commenter even declared they would be willing to pay $100 for this feature.

“Try switching to the Japanese version instead. It might be worth a shot.” This post presents an intriguing dilemma for Kuro, and if this feature were to become a reality, it appears to be a generally favorable decision.
