Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Episode 3 recap
The episode opens with Alya happily welcoming her sister Masha upon her arrival home. But Masha notices something amiss and inquires about Alya’s mood. However, Alya insists all is well, attributing her melancholic state to having just met a new friend named Kuze, along with his childhood companion. Masha chuckles, relieved that at last, a male acquaintance has piqued Alya’s interest. She then inquires about the origins of their friendship.
Six years ago, during an episode at school in Russia, Alya was part of a class project. Her teammates weren’t as excited or dedicated as she was, causing friction among the group. They boasted about being the best, leaving Alya dismayed that her team didn’t succeed. Feeling let down and determined to rely on herself, Alya took charge and completed the project independently.
Later on, she moves to Japan and encounters numerous inquiries from her freshly-made peers. Upon awakening Masachika, she presents herself. Throughout the day, she is taken aback by his nonchalant demeanor. As preparations for the festival get underway, Alya remains behind, determined to complete her costume even as her companions urge her to leave.
Masachika arrives and manages to persuade her, albeit unwillingly. The following day, the entire class pitches in, and they successfully complete the festival preparations, leading to their class being awarded the victory. Masachika shields her from a group of boys attempting to dance with her during the festivities.
In the current moment, the show resumes with Masha expressing her admiration for the tale. Subsequently, Masachika joins Masha to complete tasks assigned by the student council. The episode concludes with a heartfelt exchange between them in a cozy café setting.
