As a dedicated fan of K-dramas, I’ve been eagerly following “Miss Night and Day” every week, and let me tell you, episode 11 was a rollercoaster ride! Lee Jung-Eun’s portrayal of Lim Sun and Mi-Jin, coupled with Jung Eun-Ji’s brilliant acting as the younger version, kept me on the edge of my seat.

In the eleventh episode of “Miss Night and Day,” broadcast on July 20, 2024, both on JTBC and Netflix, the roles of Lim Sun (played by Lee Jung-Eun), Lee Mi-Jin (Jung Eun-Ji), Gye Ji-Ung (Choi Jin-Hyuk), and Ko Won (Baek Seo-Hoo) came to life. This intriguing K-drama series follows the story of a young woman who inexplicably ages into her fifties daily.

Previously, Mi-Jin encountered hospital director Baek Cheol-Gyu who knew her long-lost aunt. Years ago, her aunt had gone missing, and Mi-Jin had used her name for Lim Sun’s older version. Cheol-Gyu’s comparison of their blood groups raised suspicion towards him. Simultaneously, top star Ko Won shared his feelings with Mi-Jin, leaving Ji-Ung heartbroken as he watched them together late at night.

In episode 11 of “The Miss Night and Day,” Lim Sun sits in Prosecutor Ji-Ung’s office, growing concerned as he hasn’t shown up yet. She ponders over his tardiness, unaware that their superior has called in sick leave. Simultaneously, Ko Won recalls the previous night when Mi-Jin subtly declined his advances and suggested she harbors feelings for another person.

In episode 11 of “Miss Night and Day,” Mi-Jin grows concerned for Ji-Ung’s wellbeing. One evening, she prepares some homemade dishes and quietly leaves her house with Byeong-Deok’s assistance. They manage to gain access to Ji-Ung’s apartment. Mi-Jin tends to him, bringing back fond memories of his mother’s care. Ji-Ung shares the story of his missing mother with Mi-Jin, revealing heartfelt anecdotes from their past.

The following day, Ji-Ung asks a few detectives about Cheol-Gyu’s whereabouts. They inform him that the director’s car has been at the hospital since early morning. Though they suspect the suspect is inside, Cheol-Gyu encounters a man who displays images of Mi-Jin and Lim Sun to him. Perplexed by why these two women frequently meet but are never seen together, the director ponders this mystery.

The photographer shares that Lim Sun goes missing right after finishing work with no sign of her whereabouts, while Lee Mi-Jin emerges only afterwards. He then queries Cheol-Gyu if the present-day Lim Sun is the same woman as the one from 24 years ago. The director responds that they need to verify this fact.

Jung Eun-Ji is shocked to see Choi Jin-Hyuk at her home

In the evening, I return home and notice Ji-Ung’s car parked outside my house. Shocked, I step inside to find him seated with his parents in my living room. I’m taken aback and long to ask him why he’s there, but Ji-Ung looks away evasively.

After finishing dinner, I unexpectedly run into her, and to make things more intriguing, I fib and tell her that my arrival was purely by chance. As we chat, Mi-Jin opens up about her missing aunt, and she reveals that her mother shares the same suspicions as me regarding the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

Near the close of episode 11 of Miss Night and Day, Byeong-Deok and Lim Sun hastily make their way to the hospital to find Cheol-Gyu with a search warrant in hand. While the search is underway, a nurse requests that Lim Sun accompany her for a chat – she’d met her a few days prior. Meanwhile, Ji-Ung grows increasingly wary of Cheol-Gyu and asks his superior to issue an arrest warrant.

While en route to the hospital, Ko Won encounters Ji-Ung and inquires if their situations concern Mi-Jin. Ji-Ung sternly advises him to contact her directly if concerned. However, Ko Won shares that Mi-Jin isn’t answering his calls, causing Ji-Ung to grow anxious.

I, Ji-Ung, rush to the hospital in a panicked state, searching frantically for who or what I’ve come to find. Meanwhile, sneakily disguised as a doctor with a mask, Cheol-Gyu passes by me unnoticed, pushing a rolling bed with Lim Sun lying unconsciously on it. The scene ends shockingly with Lim Sun’s bound and gagged hands tied over her mouth, staring at Cheol-Gyu in disbelief.
