The movie is set in the historic Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) and was originally slated for release after “Pushpa 2.” However, its release date has now been confirmed for this significant holiday.

He revealed that his much-anticipated movie “Thangalaan” is set to hit theaters on Independence Day, August 15. This date holds special significance as actor Keerthy Suresh’s new film, “Raghu Thatha,” will also be premiering on the same day.

In his motion poster announcement, Pa Ranjith expressed, “Arising from the ruins, to speak loudly about the truth. #Thangalaan will be out globally on August 15th.”

More recently, the filmmakers introduced the initial melody from the production, showcasing Vikram and Parvathy dancing to traditional tunes. This captivating number, skillfully produced by GV Prakash, bears the name Minikki Minikki in Tamil. Additionally, it has been presented in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, and other local languages as well.

In their initial team-up, director Pa Ranjith works with actor Vikram on the film “Thangalaan.” The impressive ensemble includes Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, and Pasupathy, with details about their characters yet to be disclosed. Classified as a period action drama, “Thangalaan” delves into the history of the Kolar Gold Fields, shedding light on its beginnings and the lives of those associated with it.

Thangalaan is a film brought to life through the collaborative efforts of Jio Studios, Neelam Productions, and Studio Green. The creative minds behind the project are Tamil Praba, who co-wrote the script, Kishor Kumar in charge of cinematography, and Selva RK overseeing the editing process. GV Prakash contributes his musical talents to the production by composing the film’s music.

After completing work on Thangalaan, Vikram will start filming for Veera Dheera Sooran, helmed by SU Arun Kumar. In this new venture, Dushara Vijayan, SJ Suryah, and other prominent actors join the cast in pivotal positions.
