Spider-Noir Cast: Babylon’s Li Jun Li Joins Amazon’s Live-Action Marvel Series

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’m always on the lookout for exciting new projects in the world of entertainment that intersect with my beloved hobby. And boy, does this latest development in the Spider-Noir series at Amazon MGM Studios have me hooked!

Amazon’s MGM Studios announced that actor Li Jun Li, known for her role in “Babylon,” has joined the cast of their upcoming live-action Marvel series, “Spider-Noir.” This production, scheduled to premiere on MGM+ and Amazon Prime Video, is eagerly anticipated.

Li has been selected to play the role of an uncredited regular character on a popular New York nightclub series. She was chosen despite her previous appearances in shows such as Wu Assassins, Evil, Sex/Life, and Based on a True Story. Currently, Li is working on Ryan Coogler’s upcoming film featuring Michael B. Jordan, which also happens to be about vampires.

Who is in the Spider-Noir cast?

Li is set to join Nicolas Cage, who previously gave voice to Spider-Man Noir in “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” (2018), as they bring this character to life in live-action once more. Furthermore, Lamorne Morris from “New Girl” has been announced for the part of Robbie Robertson, a familiar figure in Spider-Man comics.

As a fan, I’d describe it this way: In the bustling 1930s New York City scene, I follow an aging and unfortunate private investigator named Cage, who once wore the cape and mask as the city’s lone superhero. Against my will, he’s drawn back into his past life, compelled to confront the ghosts of his heroic days.

According to the Marvel character developed by David Hine, Fabrice Sapolsky, and Carmine Di Giandomenico, the live-action version is overseen by Oren Uziel, Steve Lightfoot, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal during its production. Uziel and Lightfoot hold both the director and executive producer roles in the first two episodes. Emmy Award winner Harry Bradbeer takes charge of directing and producing these initial installments.
