During Netflix’s earnings call on July 18, Sarandos addressed investors and discussed the recent successes of the streaming platform. In addition, he announced release dates for some highly anticipated shows, including “Wednesday.” According to the CEO, the second season of this show is scheduled for release in 2025.
Near the conclusion of the earnings conference call, Sarandos shared exciting updates for fans. It seems that the anticipated third season of “The Lincoln Lawyer” and sixth season of “Virgin River,” which were thought to be released in 2025, might actually come out this year. On the other hand, “Wednesday,” along with “Stranger Things” season 5 and “The Night Agent” season 2 (apparently), is scheduled for a 2025 release.

It’s no surprise that “Wednesday” season 2 won’t air until 2025, considering the production of this critically acclaimed and culturally significant series has encountered numerous setbacks. The second installment, following the Emmy-nominated debut season, has been held back by writers and actors strikes as well as Jenna Ortega’s packed schedule. As a result, filming didn’t commence in Ireland until May 2024.
The production of this show is expected to carry on until at least August 2024, but it may take a little longer than anticipated. Netflix will keep fans updated once filming has been concluded.
