IT experts are in for an extended weekend due to a problem at cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike, causing global disruptions. A recent update has resulted in outages affecting various sectors, including London Stock Exchange, banks, airlines, media companies, and numerous government services worldwide. Reports indicate 911 emergency services are affected in some US states, while users encounter the Windows BSOD.
If you’re a CrowdStrike user and your computer is turned off, do not turn it on yet. There seems to be an issue causing repeated blue screens with the file csagent.sys, and it’s best to avoid using the machine until it’s been properly checked.
