Amazon’s MGM Studios executives, Jennifer Salke and Vernon Sanders, have given some information about the upcoming seasons of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and “Red, White & Royal Blue.”
I’m thrilled to share that on Monday, July 19, the first season of Mr. & Mrs. Smith featuring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine earned an impressive 16 Primetime Emmy Award nominations! It’s a fantastic accomplishment, and I can’t wait to see how they’ll shine at the ceremony.
What did Amazon say about Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 2 and Red, White & Royal Blue 2?
In their latest conversation, Salke and Sanders gave fans a peek into the plans for Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 2. Although they didn’t definitively say if Glover and Erskine will return to the show, Sanders shared that “Donald and Maya have outlined an intriguing concept for Season 2, which we are genuinely thrilled about. It’s full of creativity. It’s truly surprising.”
Salke added, “I think it’ll bring audiences everything they want.”
A premiere date for Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 2 has not yet been announced.
In May 2024, it was announced that a sequel to Red, White & Royal Blue was officially in the works.

Amazon Prime Video hasn’t specified a release date yet for “Red, White & Royal Blue.” The film is already streamable on their platform.
