LoL: Support Tier List For Patch 14.14

LoL: Support Tier List For Patch 14.14

As a seasoned League of Legends player with over 10 years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the current meta in Patch 14.14 is all about engage supports. Having witnessed countless metas come and go, I’ve learned to adapt and thrive in various playstyles.

In this League of Legends patch, changes to supports were limited with the most notable modification affecting Milio. His reliable damage and protective shielding have been scaled back, but his skill execution has been enhanced instead. Could this alter the existing balance among supports?

That’s what we will find out to see the best support champions in LoL Patch 14.14.

Support Tier List For LoL Patch 14.14: These Are The Best Supports

3. Poppy

Poppy is one of the best supports in the meta right now. She has a solid 53.93% win rate right now.

LoL: Support Tier List For Patch 14.14

 Build:

Using Poppy as your champion, begin with Dead Man’s Plate as your initial item, followed by Warmog’s Armor as your second purchase. Her dominance in the upper tiers is due to her resilience against this patch’s Warmog’s nerfs, unlike other melee tank supports. As for your third item, consider Locket of the Iron Solari, Thornmail, or Force of Nature based on your enemy team composition.

Powerspikes:

Poppy is effective early on but really excels in late-game battles. She makes an excellent frontline champion. Around level 2, it’s crucial to aggressively engage opponents in lane to seize control. Unlike many champions, Poppy doesn’t significantly improve at level 6. Instead, focus on amassing gold to enhance her tankiness as much as possible.

Counters:

As a long-time League of Legends player, I can’t stress enough how important it is to steer clear of Taric when choosing your champions for a game, especially if you’re planning on playing Poppy. Let me tell you from my personal experience, Taric is just as tanky and his crowd control abilities can be absolutely devastating, especially his stun. I’ve had games where a well-placed Taric ultimate has turned the tide against us, leaving me feeling helpless and frustrated. It’s not an easy feat to take down a Taric once he gets going, so it’s best to avoid him altogether if possible. Trust me, your day will be much brighter without the added stress of trying to outmaneuver this formidable champion.

Good Synergy:

Senna and Poppy make an excellent team in a match due to their crowd control abilities and sustain. With this combination, you can triumph in any encounter and truly excel during the later stages of the game.

2. Leona

Leona effectively shines as one of the top-tier support champions in the current meta. Her strength manifests both early in the game and as an engage option, making her a valuable pick. With a commendable win rate of 52.41%, it’s clear that she excels in this role.

Build:

Due to recent changes, Warmog’s Armor no longer provides the same benefits early game as before. As a result, when playing a support champion like Leona, it would be more effective to begin with an Locket of the Iron Solari and subsequently build your Warmog’s item later in the game.

To enhance your security and include an anti-healing component in your inventory, think about adding Thornmail as your third item. This will boost your defenses and prevent opponents from restoring their health.

Powerspikes:

As a gamer, I’d put it this way: During the early and mid stages of the game, Leona truly outshines other champions. Her level 2 power spike is exceptional, so aim for bold plays to give your bot lane an edge. In the middle game, band together for objectives and battles. Your ultimate ability comes in handy for initiating team fights around this period, making it a game-changer.

Counters:

Leona faces challenges when going up against Soraka and Janna due to their long-range abilities. They keep their team healthy and protected, making it difficult for Leona to get in close for a charge or engagement. This dynamic can prove quite annoying during attempts to engage in melee combat.

Good Synergy:

Leona complements Nilah or Jinx exceptionally well. These champions shine in the early game skirmishes, a strength that suits Leona. With Nilah being a melee champion herself, she becomes an excellent match for Leona’s aggressive gameplay style, as she excels at getting close to enemies.

1. Nami

Nami is currently one of the top-performing champions in the game, boasting a impressive victory rate of approximately 51% at the bot lane.

Build:

Nami excels at the enchantress role. Begin by casting Imperial Mandate to expedite mana restoration and apply slows. Then, elect for Shurelya’s Battlesong to markedly accelerate your teammates’ movement speeds. Regarding the third item, consider Ardent Censer, an effective and frequently suggested choice when aiding an AD bot lane companion.

Powerspikes:

At level 6, Nami experiences a notable increase in power. Her ultimate ability generates a massive wave, offering two benefits: it amplifies her team’s offensive potential or serves as an escape route by pushing back adversaries. In combination with her Q skill, she can establish a captivating sequence that immobilizes enemies for an extended duration.

Counters:

Nami finds it challenging to face off against Shaco, much like other champions. Shaco’s bothersome boxes deal substantial harm, while his stealth capability lets him approach undetected.

Good Synergy:

As a gamer, I can tell you that when it comes to taking on enemies, Nami and Nilah make an unstoppable team. In the heat of battle, their synergy shines through, allowing them to dominate opponents in both melee and ranged combat. This dynamic duo keeps the enemy at bay, ensuring our victory remains secure from start to finish.

In Patch 14.14 of League of Legends, engage supports such as Sona, Janna, and Zyra take a backseat to the popular tanks that currently control the game’s meta. Leona may be unavailable due to bans, but Nautilus is an excellent alternative with powerful crowd control abilities. Previous strategies like rushing Warmogs may no longer work, but engage supports are making a comeback, so it’s worth giving them a try.

Who Are Our F-Tier Support Champions?

Based on my extensive experience in competitive gaming and analysis of various patches, I would strongly advise against considering the following champions. I’ve seen countless games where their performance was dismal, with win rates barely scraping the bottom of the barrel. Or worse, they’ve been hit hard by the recent patch with significant nerfs to their abilities or stats. As someone who values efficiency and success in-game, I strongly urge you to steer clear of these champions to save yourself the frustration and potential losses that come with them. Trust me, from my personal experience, it’s just not worth it.

Renata Glasc is currently out of favor among players. Her low win rate may be due to misunderstanding of how best to use her or the current game meta not aligning with her strengths, making her an effective counter to dive strategies. However, if this trend continues, it’s likely that Riot Games will update her abilities to boost her popularity.

Make sure to never be that cruel to your ADC to pick one of these, and you’ll climb.
