Sarfira Box Office Collection Day 6: Akshay Kumar’s Movie Records Slight Increase

As a die-hard fan of Akshay Kumar, I have been closely following his latest film, Sarfira, with bated breath. The anticipation was palpable as this Hindi adaptation of Suriya’s Tamil hit Soorarai Pottru promised to be an engaging and thought-provoking cinematic experience.

Akshay Kumar’s most recent movie, “Sarfira,” which is the Hindi version of Suriya’s Tamil success “Soorarai Pottru,” experienced a slight increase in its day six earnings at the box office. However, despite generally favorable feedback from critics and viewers, this film has had difficulty performing well financially.

The film faces tough rivalry at the box office from prominent releases such as Prabhas’ Kalki: 2898 AD and Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2. Moreover, Vicky Kaushal’s Bad Newz is set to join this list of strong competitors.

Sarfira box office collection day 6: How much did Akshay Kumar’s movie earn?

After six days on the big screen, I’ve seen Sarfira bring in a more substantial sum at the box office. With an impressive 10.26% growth from the day before, the film earned approximately $257 thousand. Yet, despite this positive trend, its overall domestic collection of $20.9 million falls short of my expectations for such an intriguing production.

With Sudha Kongara at the helm and an impressive ensemble of actors like Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, Seema Biswas, and Suriya on board, Sarfira was anticipated to be a hit. Debuting on July 12, 2024, its opening weekend box office collections were surprisingly low compared to Akshay Kumar’s average earnings over the past decade and a half.

Following an uncertain beginning, the movie demonstrated promising developments over the weekend. The revenue soared by 70% on Saturday, generating $508,000. This momentum carried over to Sunday, leading to a 23.53% rise and $628,000 in earnings. However, Monday took a downturn with a substantial decline in revenue to $173,000. The film’s earnings showed a slight enhancement on its fifth day, amounting to $233,000 – a 34.48% growth.

Sarfira faces tougher battles at the box office due to the presence of heavyweight competitors. Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas and Indian 2 featuring Kamal Haasan are drawing larger crowds and generating greater buzz in the industry.
