As a longtime Barbie fan, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming adventure game, “Barbie Project Friendship“! The trailer released recently has me feeling nostalgic and eager to explore this new addition to the Barbie universe.
On Wednesday, Mattel and gaming developer Outright Games unveiled the trailer for their upcoming cooperative adventure game, titled “Barbie: Friendship Adventure” by Mattel. This engaging title is set to offer a delightful experience for families on PC and consoles this autumn.
When is the Barbie Project Friendship release date?
On October 25, Barbie Project Friendship will be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, as well as PC. In this new game, players join two Barbies, called Malibu and Brooklyn, in their mission to revitalize the Malibu Waves Community Center. Besides restoring the center, gamers can explore the island and lend a helping hand to various Barbie characters. For instance, they can make ice cream with Ken or customize scooters with Nikki. Additionally, players assist Teresa in fixing up the arcade.
Additional minigames feature tennis, skateboarding, music, and other activities. Players have the ability to design Barbies’ bedroom and acquire fashionable new ensembles. Although the primary experience is designed for solo play, the minigames provide an option for two-player cooperative play in the same room.
The Barbie Project Friendship video game, created by Outright Games in partnership with Ann Austen from the Netflix shows “Barbie: Dreamhouse Adventures” and “Barbie: A Touch of Magic,” features a shared universe with these popular children’s series. Actors from the Netflix productions lend their voices to the characters in the upcoming game, ensuring continuity with the beloved shows.
