As a dedicated fan who has followed Abby Lee Miller’s journey since her days on Dance Moms, I can’t help but be in awe of her resilience and determination. Despite the numerous challenges she faced both personally and professionally, Miller continues to push forward, refusing to let setbacks define her.
I, as a devoted fan, can’t help but ponder about Abby Lee Miller’s whereabouts now that “Dance Moms” has been off the screen for quite some time. Abby, known for her demanding teaching style on the show, garnered both admiration and controversy from viewers and media. Despite the criticism she faced, her presence in the reality TV realm was undeniable. So, I can’t help but ask: what’s next for Abby Lee Miller?
So, let’s uncover what Miller has been up to in recent years.
What happened to Abby Lee Miller after Dance Moms?
After “Dance Moms” ended in 2019, Abby Lee Miller was planned to work with Lifetime once more on a new show called “Abby’s Virtual Dance Off,” according to TODAY. But this project encountered difficulties when Adriana Smith, mother of Kamryn Smith from season eight, alleged that Miller made racist comments during the production of the show. Consequently, Lifetime terminated the airing of Miller’s new series. In reaction, she issued a heartfelt apology on Instagram for her past remarks. In January 2023, Miller reportedly sold her “Dance Moms” studio in Pittsburgh for approximately $300,000.
Miller remains determined to bounce back despite previous challenges. She’s unveiled plans for a fresh take on a reality series, as reported by Entertainment Tonight, with a more dramatic twist on Dance Moms. In June 2023, she initiated a podcast named Leave It On The Dance Floor. Later in the same year, she made an appearance as a guest star on House of Villains on E!
During the final stages of Dance Moms, Miller encountered numerous difficulties, according to TODAY. From 2017 to 2018, she spent eight months in prison for hiding assets that were subject to legal proceedings. Furthermore, in May 2018, she was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma and underwent urgent spinal surgery.
Where is Abby Lee Miller from Dance Moms now in 2024?
Back in December 2023, I, Abby Lee Miller, surprised my fans with a peek at my latest project during a YouTube video upload. The clip started off with some heartfelt throwbacks to my Dance Moms days, and as the nostalgia set in, I announced triumphantly, “I’m back!” This sneak peek had everyone eagerly waiting for more from me. Then, come April 2024, I gave a hint of what could be next on Instagram, sharing an intriguing trailer that left my followers guessing about the potential new reality show in the works.
Although there was much anticipation for her appearance in the May 1, 2024, Lifetime reunion special about the Dance Moms experience, Miller was conspicuously missing from the event. According to People, her absence was due to some former dancers requesting that she not be included in the program. Nevertheless, she keeps in touch with a few of her previous pupils, such as Jojo Siwa.
