As a huge fan of John Woo’s films, I was absolutely thrilled to see the trailer for Peacock’s English-language reimagining of “The Killer.” The original 1989 movie is a classic in the action genre, and Chow Yun-fat’s performance as an assassin taking on one last mission is nothing short of iconic.
Peacock released the trailer for John Woo’s upcoming English-language adaptation of his renowned action crime film, “The Killer.” In the 1989 version, Chow Yun-fat, Danny Lee, and Sally Yeh appeared as the assassin, his colleague, and a female singer respectively. The assassin embarked on one final mission to acquire enough funds for an eye operation that the singer required after an unintended mishap left her blind.
