Why do Khanne and his friends decide to go to Pathankot?
The movie opens with the introduction of Maan Arora, portrayed by Sunny Singh, a college student and notorious ladies’ man from the “sports quota.” He is companions with Gaurav Jain, or Jainu (Jassie Gill), an innocent fellow who harbors deep fear of his father. They run into Rajesh Kanna, also known as Khanne (Varun Sharma), a friend who was heartbroken after being deceived by his girlfriend, Vaishali.
At the edge of a wall, Khanne contemplates ending his life. But his friends manage to change his mind, suggesting he call his ex-girlfriend instead. As they wait for him to make the call, their fourth friend, Honey Singh (portrayed by Manjot Singh), arrives. With a deep affection for his late father and car named Parro, Honey encourages Khanne to confront his ex at her wedding in Pathankot. Inspired by Honey’s words, the friends set off on an unexpected road trip.
I’m against the idea, and here’s why: I’m scared of my father’s reaction if he discovers we’re going. Plus, there’s my wedding coming up next week, so I can’t join you guys. But I manage to reassure Maan that the journey will only take 6 hours, and we’ll be back before my father wakes up. The four of us hop into Honey’s car, ready for our adventure – until we hit our first obstacle at a toll booth.
After eluding their pursuers and setting the booth ablaze, they crash a wedding in quest of liquor. When Jainu voices his apprehensions, the threesome dismisses him. To demonstrate his bravery, Jainu proceeds to drink heavily. The following morning, they discover they have married the bride, Radha (portrayed by Patralekhaa), and she accompanies them on their journey to aid Khanne.
What happens next with Khanne and his friends?
During our latest brainstorming session, Radha proposed an intriguing addition to our plan. She suggested that Khanne bring a girl along to Vaishali’s wedding and mentioned having a friend at Punjab University who might be able to help us out. While searching for her contact information, I stumbled upon Meera (portrayed by the talented Ishita Raj Sharma). With some persuasive words and a little coaxing, we managed to convince Meera to join us and pose as Khanne’s girlfriend. She agreed, but only on the condition that we make a brief stop in Gurdaspur along the way.
As they travel, Honey gets into a scuffle with the police, resulting in their arrest by Senior Police Officer Avtar Singh (portrayed by Rajesh Sharma). Amazingly, they contrive to break free from prison. Yet, their troubles are far from over; they encounter double the trouble due to Meer. It is revealed that she is a drug dealer who had stolen from her supplier, making them targets as well. The drug lords pursue them relentlessly, leading to a dangerous gun battle.
Does Khanne say ‘I am over you’ to his ex-girlfriend?
As they attempted to elude the drug lord’s men, the group of six unintentionally found themselves at Vaishali’s wedding. Just as they were trying to leave, Police Inspector Avtar Singh appeared and apprehended the criminals on site. However, Khanne and his companions were released from custody. The attention then turned towards the root cause of the commotion.
Vaishali is shocked and enraged when she discovers that Khanne is attending her wedding. But just as she’s about to confront him, she receives devastating news – her fiancé Naveen has been unfaithful. Heartbroken, Vaishali confides in her mother about her mistake. Instead of Khanne, it’s now Naveen who stands before the mandap. With tears streaming down his face, he offers to marry Vaishali and asks if he could sing their wedding song for her.
Through Khanne’s song, Vaishali comes to understand her error. With the support of his friends, he boldly conveys to her, “I have moved on,” leaving her stunned. The jubilant quartet of Honey, Jainu, Radha, and Meera applaud for him, and Khanne joins them in their joyous revelry.
In my excitement as a fan, I’d rephrase it this way: When Meera presses her lips to mine, Maan’s long-held dream momentarily comes true. But sadly, she vanishes just as quickly. The rest of us then hastily board our jets and head back home. Eventually, Jainu and Radha stroll side by side, their hands intertwined, a testament to their deep-rooted love.
