As a die-hard Given fan, I can’t contain my excitement about the upcoming movie, “Given Movie 2: Hiiragi Mix.” This anime has been a significant part of my life for the past few years, and Mafuyu and Ritsuka’s story has touched me deeply. Their journey to find themselves and each other while overcoming personal trauma is something that resonates with many fans, myself included.
The anime “Given” has gained significant popularity in the BL genre, rivaled only by shows like “Yuri on Ice.” Its widespread appeal has led to a massive following. Sadly, it has been announced that the series will conclude with a final movie.
Can Mafuyu and Ritsuka finally come together in love and music, or are there still hurdles for them to overcome? And what about their bandmates Haruki and Akihiko – will they find clarity when “Given Movie 2: Hiiragi Mix” is released in theaters?

Based on past experience with anime films, fans may need to hold off watching the new movie in theaters for a few more months. Eventually, it is expected that the film will be available on Crunchyroll, which currently hosts all other Given series content.
Based on my own personal preferences and experiences, I would be excited to watch this emotional story that concludes the manga with its ninth volume and around 40 chapters. Having gone through my fair share of challenging experiences in life, I find solace and connection in stories that explore themes of growth and moving on from trauma. The idea of witnessing how these elements unfold in a well-crafted narrative is deeply appealing to me. However, I understand that everyone’s tastes are different, so if you’d rather watch something else, that’s perfectly fine too. Ultimately, it’s all about finding what resonates with each of us on a personal level.
