Reginald the Vampire Cancelled by Syfy Following Season 2

As a dedicated gamer and avid fan of Syfy’s unique and intriguing series, I was thrilled when Reginald the Vampire was announced back in 2022. The concept of a vampire story with an unlikely hero, played by the charismatic Jacob Batalon, instantly piqued my interest. I eagerly watched each episode as the first season unfolded, captivated by the witty dialogue and the beautiful visuals.

Reginald the Vampire has been canceled by Syfy.

According to Johnny B. Truant’s “Fat Vampire” book collection, the Syfy series adaptation titled “Reginald the Vampire” made its debut in 2022. This captivating show was granted a second season in January 2023 and commenced airing on May 8, 2024. The final episode of Season 2, now marking the end of the series, was broadcasted on July 10, 2024.

Based on Deadline’s report, Syfy has chosen not to produce any more seasons of “Reginald the Vampire” beyond the second one.

As a longtime fan of Syfy’s original programming, I’ve grown attached to shows like Resident Alien and Chucky. It was a surprise to me when I recently heard that Resident Alien had been moved to USA Network for its fourth season. I’m excited about this move as I have a soft spot for USA Network’s lineup of critically acclaimed dramas. However, I can’t help but feel a pang of worry for Chucky’s future.

What was Syfy’s Reginald the Vampire about?

Picture a universe inhabited by alluring, fit, and self-absorbed vampires. Unbeknownst to us, Reginald Andres finds himself thrust into this realm as an unexpected hero. He’ll encounter numerous challenges: the woman he adores but cannot be with, a bossy supervisor at work, and a vampire leader intent on his demise. Fortunately, Reginald comes to terms with hidden abilities that will aid him in his journey.

Harley Peyton, Jeremiah Chechik, Todd Berger, Lindsay Macadam, Brett Burlock, and Peter Emerson acted as the executive producers for the production of the show. Batalon held a co-executive producer role. The series was produced by Great Pacific Media, Modern Story Company, December Films, and Cineflix Studios.

The first season of Reginald the Vampire is currently streaming on Hulu.
