Elden Ring mod brings in highly requested Boss Arena mode

As a dedicated Elden Ring player, I can’t help but feel elated at the news of the Boss Arena mod making a comeback. For many of us, one of the most frustrating aspects of this game has been the lack of options for repeatedly battling bosses once they’ve been defeated. This issue was further compounded with the release of the expansion, which introduced even more formidable foes to contend with.

As an Elden Ring gamer, I’ve noticed a common struggle we all face: the lack of opportunities to fight bosses over and over again, especially with the release of the expansion. But fear not, there’s a simple fix for that! Enter the Boss Arena mod by PositronCannon. Now, I can relive the thrill of battling my favorite Elden Ring foes whenever I want. It’s like having an endless supply of challenges at my fingertips.

Based on the announcement on the poster, this mod contains nearly all base game bosses. Players can hone their skills against these bosses through practice fights, experimenting with various character builds, participating in boss rushes, or attempting challenge runs. Since the bosses respawn, defeating them does not have any long-term consequences. Originally, this mod was available on NexusMods but was left unattended by its creator. Recently, a new caretaker has revived it and is responsible for releasing patches and updates to ensure compatibility with more recent game versions.

Previously, we mentioned that fans were eagerly anticipating the addition of a Boss Rush mode for battling previous bosses. Regrettably, this feature may not be implemented by the developers. However, creating mods is an alternative solution.

In the game, there are a total of 164 bosses for you to confront. However, the mod provides you with all the necessary items to fully upgrade your gear. Initially, this arrangement didn’t sit well with me. Instead, I yearn for an Elden Ring experience akin to roguelike games. This means taking on each boss sequentially, and perhaps having your Flasks recharge slightly after each triumphant battle.

After defeating bosses in Elden Ring, you’ll have the opportunity to acquire their gear and equipment, which could help you become one of the most proficient PvE players. This alternative gameplay style might reduce the emphasis on exploration and world-building that Elden Ring is renowned for, but it would offer a fresh and exciting experience instead.
