NCIS: Tony & Ziva Adds 8 to Cast, Filming Underway for Spin-off

As a dedicated fan of the NCIS universe, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the upcoming Paramount+ series, NCIS: Tony & Ziva. The announcement of eight new cast members joining Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo in Budapest for filming is an exciting development that promises to add depth and intrigue to this Europe-set spin-off.

The forthcoming Paramount+ show, NCIS: Tony and Ziva, featuring Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo in leading roles, has announced the addition of eight new actors to its cast as production gets underway in Budapest.

Together with Weatherly and de Pablo returning as their beloved NCIS characters Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David, the 10-episode series also introduces Isla Fisher, Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Nassima Benchicou, Julian Ovenden, Terence Maynard, Lara Rossi, and James D’Arcy as new cast members.

Who are the new NCIS: Tony & Ziva characters?

I’m thrilled to share that in the upcoming project, I, as a fan, will see Suman (from Shadow and Bone) bring her expertise to life as the highly skilled and competent chief technical officer at Tony’s company. Previously gracing our screens with his presence in Ted Lasso, Osinski’s character, Boris, is described as one of the best and most elusive hackers globally, adding to his Russian expat background. Benchicou masterfully portrays Martine, a former French intelligence agent known for her slyness. Last but not least, Isla Gie will breathe life into Tony and Ziva’s 12-year-old daughter, Tali.

As a gamer, I’d rephrase that as: I used to know Ovenden from Bridgerton, but now he’s got a new role as the former NSA programmer turned secretary general of Interpol. Previously seen in The Witcher and Coronation Street, Maynard is my go-to therapist, Dr. Lang, with her wealth of experience. Rossi from The Watch and D’Arcy of Agent Carter bring Tali’s caretaker and a high-ranking Interpol official to life, respectively.

After Ziva’s supposed death, Tony quit NCIS to focus on raising their daughter. Years later, it was revealed that Ziva was still alive and she re-joined the team for a last mission. When this mission ended, Ziva met up with Tony and their daughter Tali in Paris. However, complications arose when Tony’s security firm was assaulted, compelling them to flee.

As a passionate gamer and avid fan of NCIS: Tony & Ziva, I’d like to share some behind-the-scenes info about this exciting new show. I’m personally involved in its creation since John McNamara, an accomplished executive producer, is also the showrunner. Along with him, Mark Harmon (Tony), Cote de Pablo (Ziva), Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, Shelley Meals, and Mairzee Almas are all contributing their talents to this project. And let me tell you, Paramount Global Content Distribution is handling its distribution, ensuring it reaches a wide audience.
