Choi Hyun-Wook’s new K-drama Black Salt Dragon: Cast and characters revealed

Choi Hyun-Wook and Moon Ga-Young star in “Black Salt Dragon,” where their characters first connected during high school through online gaming. After 16 years, they cross paths again, this time with Hyun-Wook as the boss and Moon Ga-Young as his employee in real life. The ensemble includes Im Se-Mi and Kwak Si-Yang as well.

Choi Hyun-Wook stars in a new Korean drama where he portrays Ban Joo-Yeon, the wealthy chaebol heir and strategic planning director at Yongsung Department Store. Despite his successful career, he harbors deep sadness from being rejected by his past love through an online game. On the other hand, Moon Ga-Young brings to life Baek Soo-Jung, a diligent employee whose strong moral values clash with Joo-Yeon’s bossy demeanor.

Im Se-Mi portrays the captivating pub owner Seo Ha-Jin on screen. Fate brings her together with Soo-Jung outside of their virtual game world, leading to a genuine offline friendship. Remarkably, Im Se-Mi is reconnecting with Moon Ga-Young after many years, who was once her co-star in the beloved K-drama True Beauty as their on-screen sibling.

To put it simply, Kwak Si-Yang portrays Kim Shin-Won, a design department head at the store and close friend of Joo-Yeon. Eventually, they encounter Ha-Jin, leading to an unexpected romantic connection between the two characters. Kwak Si-Yang and the other actor will take on the roles of the second love story in the show.
