Crypto Company Valour Rolls Out First Short Spot Bitcoin ETP in Nordics

Valour, a cryptocurrency firm owned by DeFi Technologies, has unveiled the first short Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded product (ETP) for investors in the Nordic region. This market includes nations like Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. (A more conversational way: Valour, a subsidiary of DeFi Technologies and a prominent player in the cryptocurrency sector, has recently introduced the first short Bitcoin ETP specifically designed for investors residing in the Nordic countries, including Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.)

Setting a New Standard

On April 18, 2024, the company revealed that their latest investment offering, named Valour Short Bitcoin (SBTC), would be bought and sold using the identical ticker symbol when trading against the Swedish Krona.

The ETP’s introduction in the Nordics provides an opportunity for investors to gain indirect access to the digital asset market, enabling them to earn profits or protect against potential drops in Bitcoin’s value.

An innovative financial tool has been created that moves oppositely to Bitcoin’s price changes. In other words, when Bitcoin’s value decreases, this instrument typically increases in value, and the reverse is true. Valour, the company behind this product, mentioned it was designed for skilled investors who can swiftly adapt their portfolios according to daily market fluctuations.

Additionally, the blockchain company announced that they are pioneering investment offerings in the Nordic area by being the initial ones to present the SBTC to potential investors.

High Levels of Transparency

According to Johanna Belitz, the head of sales for the Nordic region at the company, she is confident that the new product will attract investors based in that area.

“This innovative product, designed for quick strategic gains like protecting current investments, is expected to be popular among our experienced trading customers,” she stated confidently.

The company marked the introduction of its new ETP product, SBTC, as a notable achievement, expanding the range of financial options in the Nordic markets. Valour emphasized that this product ensures clarity, safety, and trust for both individual and institutional investors.

Fully Hedged Digital Asset ETPs

In addition to SBTC, the company provides entry to a selection of other digitally hedged exchange-traded products (ETPs) relating to various digital assets. These ETPs carry competitive management fees, making them an attractive choice for investors with diverse portfolios and budget considerations. Valour’s offerings are accessible through European exchanges, banks, and broker platforms, simplifying engagement with the crypto market.

Among the products or services provided by the company are Uniswap (UNI), Cardano (ADA), Polkadot (DOT), Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), Cosmos (ATOM), Binance Coin (BNB), Ripple (XRP), Enjin Coin (ENJ), and Bitcoin Carbon Neutral (BTCN).

Valour introduces Bitcoin Zero and Ethereum Zero as its premier items, which are the initial risk-managed, passive investment solutions tied to Bitcoin and Ethereum respectively. These flagship items differ from other ETPs in that they don’t include management fees, making them enticing choices for investors looking for cost-free exposure to these digital currencies.
