Arkham Releases Top 5 Crypto Rich List – You Won’t Believe How Much Is Inaccessible

Industry frontrunner Arkham Intelligence unveiled a ranking of the wealthiest individuals in cryptocurrencies based on their digital wallet holdings. This intriguing roster, worth billions collectively, has sparked buzz within crypto circles. However, an intriguing angle lies in the substantial fortune now considered untouchable.

3 Of The Top 5 Crypto Rich List Lost Forever

Arkham provided an update on X, formerly known as Twitter, detailing the ten wealthiest crypto figures based on their digital wallet holdings. However, the intriguing portion of this list was the top five, featuring notables such as Justin Sun from Tron and Ethereum‘s Vitalik Buterin.

Based on the information provided by Arkham, Justin Sun ranks first with a wallet value of approximately $1.1 billion. Rain Lohmus, Chairperson of LHV Bank, comes in second place with a wallet value of around $793 million. Vitalik Buterin, founder of Ethereum, holds the third position with a wallet balance of about $782 million.

Four spots behind is Stefan Thomas, a software engineer, who possesses a substantial fortune of $452 million in cryptocurrency. Lastly, James Fickel takes the fifth position with a net worth of $446 million from his digital wallet. Combined, these crypto tycoons and billionaires manage a grand total of $3.5 billion. Nevertheless, not every penny of this wealth is accessible to them.

According to Arkham’s findings, two individuals among this group of five are now unable to reach their wallets. One of these individuals is Rain Lohmus, who initially invested $75,000 during the Ethereum Initial Coin Offering (ICO). Lohmus’ investment resulted in a total of 250,000 ETH, which has significantly increased in value since then. Unfortunately, he can no longer access those coins.

Based on Lohmus’ statement, he apparently misplaced or forgot the password for his Ethereum digital wallet, making it impossible for him to retrieve the coins stored in it. Consequently, these coins are considered irretrievably lost. Nevertheless, Lohmus has proposed a 50-50 arrangement with anyone able to regain access to the wallet and transfer the funds to another location.

An person named Stefan Thomas is well-known in the cryptocurrency community for accidentally disposing of a flash drive containing the private keys to a wallet with approximately 7,000 Bitcoins around a decade ago. Since then, Thomas has been making attempts to locate the landfill where he assumes his trash was taken, with the hope of retrieving the flash drive and regaining access to his coins. However, he has encountered numerous obstacles in this endeavor, such as being denied permission to excavate the dump site by the city.

The remaining three individuals on the list retain control over their wallets and continue to engage with the cryptocurrency market to different extents.
