2XKO’s wants to get its champion roster to 24 characters as a good ‘starting point’

2XKO’s official release seems imminent as Riot Games has concluded another Alpha Lab playtest for the game. However, some players have raised concerns about the game’s content, particularly after a report suggesting that it will launch with only 10 characters. In response to this feedback, Riot Games’ executive producer Tom Cannon has announced that the team is adjusting their focus to include more characters in the main game, aiming for a total of 24 Champions.

In our recent chat with VG247, they asked me about the feedback regarding the launch champions having a character limit of 10. Here’s what I had to say… (I’m just a gamer sharing my thoughts on this matter)

24 characters may not materialize at the launch of 2XKO, but it appears the development team is determined to ensure a gradual expansion of the game’s roster. Additionally, Cannon and his team are equally focused on creating characters that don’t become redundant or overlooked except in specific team compositions.

Speaking as a dedicated gamer here, Cannon just emphasized that our team is giving top attention to the roster right now, which implies significant changes might be on the horizon for our upcoming game, 2XKO. Exact implications for its launch and post-launch content schedule are still unclear. For now, keep your eyes glued to updates about 2XKO – we’ll share more news as it unfolds!
