2XKO will reportedly launch with 10 characters

2XKO is on the verge of releasing its next Alpha Lab playtest, maintaining its goal for a complete rollout in 2025. This has sparked curiosity among players about the initial lineup of characters. It seems that most of them have already been decided, and it’s expected that just three more will be introduced before the official launch. Based on information from Riot, the game is likely to start with a roster of 10 characters.

The information was shared on the 2XKO Intel social media platform, which took a quote from their Discord server. As per a statement from game director Shaun “Unconkable” Rivera, the game will initially launch with ten playable champions when it’s released. The team made the choice to stick to its scheduled 2025 release date instead of delaying it further for this reason.

Instead of adding more characters and potentially pushing back the launch date, we’re thrilled about bringing the game to you as soon as possible.

For right now, we know seven of the 10 champions that will be in 2XKO. They are as follows:

  • Ahri
  • Braum
  • Darius
  • Ekko
  • Illaoi
  • Jinx
  • Yasuo

The participants for the Alpha Lab 2 playtest scheduled in late April have been decided, which implies that we’ll soon encounter at least three additional characters joining the game within the upcoming months. This could potentially increase if Riot plans to adhere to their planned 2025 release schedule.

The identities of those three characters are still unknown, as is the release date for 2XKO. Keep checking back for further updates and news about 2XKO exclusively at Shacknews.
