2XKO Will Reimagine The Tag Team Fighting Game Formula

As a long-time fan of both Riot Games and tag team fighting games, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming release of 2XKO! The ability to have up to four players in a match is a game changer for me. It’s not just about having a partner to tag in and out with, but having the opportunity to have two full teams battling it out on the screen.

As a passionate gamer, I’d describe it like this: In the gaming world, Riot Games has cooked up an exciting twist to tag team fighting games. They call it 2XKO. And get this – some of my favorite League of Legends champions are now joining the fray as feisty 2v2 brawlers! Can you believe it? It’s like having the best of both worlds!

Prior to its release, Gamespot had the opportunity to experiment with the game’s workings and uncovered some intriguing aspects regarding its gameplay.

Revamping The Formula

One notable feature of 2XKO is the large number of participants it can accommodate simultaneously.

In simpler terms, 2XKO allows for a maximum of 4 individuals to participate in a single match. Each person gets to choose and control their unique character. There’s also the flexibility to change characters during battles if desired. Two-player matches are an option too.

Another detail that is different from other tag team fighters is the support mechanic.

In tag team fighting games, you can request a quick assistance maneuver from an absent champion. Typically, once a character’s health gauge runs out, you are unable to execute these support moves.

However, unlike 2XKO, a champion who gets knocked out in their corner can still offer assistance. This approach is less harsh and opens up possibilities for inventive tactics.

Regardless, I’m really looking forward to this game and I hope to join the playtest. If you’d like to sign up as well, please click here.
