As I eagerly count down the days until EVO 2025, I can’t help but feel the excitement building. Not only are players gearing up to engage in fierce combat at one of the most significant fighting game tournaments out there, but developers are also readying their latest unveilings if they have any. For a couple of years now, Riot Games’ 2XKO has been a staple at EVO, and it’s back again, setting up a booth and, most likely, introducing a new character for the event.

They mentioned that an update about the game is due this week, hinting at potential new developments, which could possibly include the unveiling of a fresh character, as suggested in their social media post.

As EVO 2025 approaches swiftly, it seems likely that 2XKO will unveil a new character this week, possibly making its debut at the event itself. Previously, Braum and Illaoi were first played in 2024 during their initial reveal. Intriguingly, 2XKO faced pressure when they declared, after years of work, that they might launch with as many as ten characters. However, project leader Tom Cannon reassured everyone by stating that they would be gradually enhancing the roster in a reasonable timeframe.

Tomorrow, we’ll find out what exciting plans Riot Games has for 2XKO before EVO 2025. Keep an eye on the 2XKO discussion for any updates that may be announced.
