1923’s second season premiered on the streaming service Paramount+ on Sunday, February 23, 2025. This critically-appraised series acts as a precursor to the renowned Western drama Yellowstone, which concluded its run in 2024.

Actor from The It Ends With Us was recently interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter. During the interview, he talked about the show’s latest season and its conclusion. Although Sklenar didn’t reveal any spoilers, he expressed his opinions on whether 1923 might come back for a potential Season 3.

In the second season of 1923, the storyline revolves around Spencer Dutton, portrayed by Sklenar, attempting to rekindle his relationship with Alex, characteristically played by Schlaepfer, while also striving to protect and preserve their family’s ranch.

During our conversation, the interviewer brought up how 1923 was initially expected to run only for two seasons. They then asked Sklenar if he had any insights about the show’s conclusion from the beginning. The actor replied, “They haven’t definitively decided whether it will end with season two, but I did know before we started filming season one where this story was heading.

In a different query, Sklenar was inquired if the finale of Season 2 would pave the way for Season 3 of 1923. Instead of providing specific details about the series’ future, he suggested that “This tale will persist somehow or another, and I truly can’t say for certain. However, there definitely remains more Dutton story to be shared.

Yet, neither Paramount Pictures nor creator Taylor Sheridan have made an official statement about the third season of 1923 as of now.
