10 Bob's Burgers episodes to watch before the season 15 premiere

As a gamer who’s been through countless quests and level-ups, I can confidently say that Season 15 of Bob’s Burgers is like unlocking a secret boss level. After the rollercoaster ride of Season 14 with its unexpected halts and starts, this new season promises to be a thrilling adventure filled with laughter, heartwarmth, and perhaps a few surprises that could rival my epic raid nights.

In a surprising turn, Season 14 of “Bob’s Burgers” featured just 13 episodes, interspersed with significant gaps between them. Stating that this was disconcerting would be a mild description.

Despite the Hollywood strikes hindering its return, many fans eagerly awaited the comeback of the Belchers on screen. Fortunately, it appears that the challenging period has passed, leaving us excited for season 15.

As I eagerly anticipate the upcoming Season 15, I can hardly contain my excitement! With a whopping 13 consecutive weeks of episodes, it’s going to be an exhilarating ride that promises to keep me on the edge of my seat. Not only are we in for more adventures than usual, but creator Loren Bouchard has hinted that this season might just be longer than the norm due to a “backlog” of thrilling episodes waiting to be unveiled. Truly, it’s shaping up to be an adventure I can hardly wait to embark on!

Should you be thrilled for season 15 or simply wishing to brush up before it airs, here are ten episodes that are certainly worth revisiting prior to the new season’s debut.

1. The Bob’s Burgers Movie

Instead of skipping over it, I’d like to incorporate “The Bob’s Burgers Movie” into our list because it provides an excellent introduction to the series and is simply entertaining. It offers insightful context for the start of “Bob’s Burgers“, boasting fantastic music, animation, and remarkable voice acting from both the main cast and guest characters. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, it offers valuable background information, particularly about Bob’s character.

2. “Boyz 4 Now” (Season 3, episode 21)

Many consider season 3 one of the best seasons of Bob’s Burgers and rightfully so. It feels like the show truly gained its footing and started to become the show we know and love now. However, one thing I can hope we get more of in season 15 is the Boyz 4 Now. Since it’s been a while since we’ve seen Tina’s favorite boyband, why not revisit the episode we watched Louise fall in love with them? It’s just such a great episode and will resonate for fangirls of all ages.

3. “Sliding Bobs” (Season 6, episode 1)

Skipping ahead to season 6, the episode that comes to mind is “Sliding Bobs.” Since Bob notices his mustache is thinning, Linda talks about how much his mustache made her interested. This would be a great one to revisit as Loren Bouchard talked about how we’re learning more about the restaurant’s origins. It’s fun to look back and see how the kids imagine their parents met. Plus it’s another great parody episode from the series.

4. “Glued, Where’s My Bob?” (Season 6, episode 19)

At the conclusion of season 6 of Bob’s Burgers, we commemorated the series reaching its 100th episode, an incredibly memorable moment. This particular episode revolves around Bob seeking the recognition he deserves, but as fate would have it, things don’t go according to plan. Nevertheless, it seems like the entire town rallies behind Bob in a heartwarming display that is simply delightful. Furthermore, the series is about to broadcast its 300th episode, a fact hinted at by Bouchard, making this a fantastic episode to reflect upon as we look forward to more adventures.

5. “Mission Impos-slug-ble” (Season 8, episode 20)

In the next episode that popped up while watching Entertainment Weekly’s interview with the cast, Kristen Schaal (the voice of Louise) mentioned an episode centered around a funeral. The episode titled “Mission Impos-slug-ble” is the one that stands out for her, as it primarily focuses on Louise trying to retrieve her lost card, but also includes Bob delivering a heartwarming yet utterly funny eulogy at his ex-pickle dealer’s funeral.

6. “The Ring (But Not Scary)” (Season 10, episode 1)

It’s clear that I have a soft spot for excellent season premieres and finales. When considering the past of “Bob’s Burgers”, the episode titled “The Ring (But Not Scary)” often pops into my mind. In this particular instance, Bob manages to save up and acquire something fantastic for Linda, but unfortunately, the kids end up destroying it. Despite having a touching conclusion, it seems like the ideal episode to represent how things usually go for Bob.

7. “Pig Trouble in Little Tina” (Season 10, episode 4)

Regarding underrated Bob’s Burgers Halloween episodes, “Pig Trouble in Little Tina” is an episode that often comes to mind. Although there have been many excellent Halloween episodes, “Pig Trouble in Little Tina” has a rather eerie feel to it. The storyline revolves around Tina being tormented by a deceased pig she made fun of in science class. Despite being quite unsettling, it does make for a strong Halloween episode. With the start of spooky season approaching, this one is particularly memorable.

8. “Amelia” (Season 13, episode 22)

To my surprise, I haven’t proposed an episode centered around Louise yet, so I had to use “Amelia” instead since it was the season 13 finale and seemed like a fresh addition to the franchise. CNN wrote an excellent article about Bob’s Burgers evolving and taking risks, and “Amelia” is a fantastic illustration of this concept. In this episode, Louise spends her time researching Amelia Earhart and eventually delivers a presentation on her. This episode still brings tears to my eyes whenever I rewatch it.

9. “The Amazing Rudy” (Season 14, episode 2)

Prior to the debut of Season 15, we’ve accumulated a batch of Season 14 episodes. Thus, before diving into the new season, I needed to insert some in between. The first is “The Remarkable Rudy,” which is an Emmy-nominated episode this year and one that I bet few would have anticipated years ago. Despite this, the series managed to create such a considerate and emotional episode without centering entirely on the Belchers, making it one you shouldn’t skip.

10. “Butt Sweat and Fears” (Season 14, episode 13)

The final episode I have to suggest is the show’s “finale” episode for now. We know now that Bob’s Burgers is coming back with more season 14 episodes to wrap up the season. Until then, you can still revisit “Butt Sweat and Fears” if you’re looking to jump back into where we left off. While the show isn’t known for its continuity, it’s still fun to go back and see what was happening before watching.

Bob’s Burgers airs on Sundays on Fox at 9/8c.
